I Find that Offensive!
It's offends me that people who are uneducated vote. I guess at one time I offended myself. Is that even possible? Oh well, moving on. I've noticed a trend that I thought I'd share. I think I'll start a new phrase this week in honor of Sen Borama:
"Your face offends me."
Barack interview with George Stephanopoulos (Sept 8th, 2008):
SEN. OBAMA: - “that he hasn't suggested that I'm a Muslim, and I think that his campaign upper echelons haven't either. What I think is fair to say is that coming out of the Republican camp, there have been efforts to suggest that perhaps I'm not what who I say I am when it comes to my faith, something which I find deeply offensive, and that has been going on for a pretty long time.”
Barack interview with Bill O’Reilly (Sept 4th, aired Sept 8th 2008)
SEN. OBAMA: - “The right thing we’ve talked about. I joined a church to worship God not a pastor. This whole notion that he was my spiritual mentor and all this stuff, this is something that I’ve consistently discussed, I’ve not heard him (Jerimiah Wright) make the offensive comments that ended up being looped on this show constantly and I was offended by them and ultimately---”
Bill: You’ve never heard those comments?
Obama: I’ve never heard those comment…
Bill: He was selling them in the lobby of the church.
Obama: What can I tell you?
(2 minutes later)
Obama: You’re viewers should relate to me because my story is there story.
Bill: My associations aren’t your associations.. General “betray us”?, The Daily Coast?
Obama: I was offended by that
Bill: But you said good things about them.
Barack on charges that his campaign has stoked the story on Palin’s daughter via the liberal blogs. (Sept 1st 2008)
"I am offended by that statement. There is no evidence at all that any of this involved us," he said. "Our people were not involved in any way in this, and they will not be. And if I thought there was somebody in my campaign who was involved in something like that, they would be fired."

Let's Talk Dirty
The latest and greatest in the political world right now is O'bama saying the phrase:
"You Can Put Lipstick on a Pig but it's still a Pig."
Speaking at a campaign rally in Virginia, Mr Obama was lampooning Mr McCain’s attempt to pretend his policies were any different from George W Bush’s when he said: “You can put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig.”
He continued: “You can wrap up an old fish in a piece of paper and call it change. It's still going to stink after eight years. We've had enough."
People are saying he was referring to Sarah Palin's VP speech when she told the joke: "What's the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull? LIPSTICK" Apparently both animals even though they are different, same lipstick reference.
So my question is: "Regardless of the backtracking going on trying to say that these comments were made in regards to the campaign and not the individuals, why even say it at all when you know people are going to speculate the worst about you?
Does it make any sense to bring up something from a week ago, that was clearly a highlight from the Republican National Convention, and toss it out there when people are going to rip it apart? Lets think the negatively here and say Obama said it on purpose....well then that’s just plain derogatory and sexist! I’ll pass on having a president like that.
Let’s think positively and say he was referring to their campaign. Well then that’s just plain stupid. You are asking for trouble treading those waters. Doesn’t sound like a smart way to “negotiate” a win for President. Sure it’s a common phrase but don’t you think you may want to use another one considering how much press the “pitbull/hockeymom/lipstick” thing got?
Sexist or Stupid? You decide and let me know what you think….

Selective Listening
The day after McCain's Speech (Friday) O'Bama addressed McCain speech and was quoted saying, "The talked about me a lot, in less than respectful terms."
McCain said the following: "Finally, a word to Senator Obama and his supporters. We'll go at it over the next two months. That's the nature of these contests, and there are big differences between us. But you have my respect and admiration. Despite our differences, much more unites us than divides us. We are fellow Americans, an association that means more to me than any other. We're dedicated to the proposition that all people are created equal and endowed by our Creator with inalienable rights. No country ever had a greater cause than that. And I wouldn't be an American worthy of the name if I didn't honor Senator Obama and his supporters for their achievement."
I hope we are all reading the same blog here. This couldn't be anymore backwards!!! Someone has selective hearing. I bet it aggravates his wife no doubt. O'bama went on to add, "McCain didnt even address the middle class issues in his speech."
McCain Speech:"I will keep taxes low and cut them where I can. My opponent will raise them. I will open new markets to our goods and services. My opponent will close them. I will cut government spending. He will increase it.
My tax cuts will create jobs. His tax increases will eliminate them. My health care plan will make it easier for more Americans to find and keep good health care insurance. His plan will force small businesses to cut jobs, reduce wages, and force families into a government run health care system where a bureaucrat stands between you and your doctor.
Keeping taxes low helps small businesses grow and create new jobs. Cutting the second highest business tax rate in the world will help American companies compete and keep jobs from moving overseas."
I just have one question: "Did Barak O'bama even watch John McCain's speech?" Ok O'bama since you didn't catch it all, you can read it or watch it here:

I'd suggest anyone who didn't get a chance to see it to check it out as well. I mean don't just take my word for it. Educate yourself on who you'll be voting for this Fall.

4375 Clicks for Cash
If 700 people click 6 google ads at www.verticalblu.com we will raise the money we need for the bus for Life In Transit.
So ask yourself one question: "Can you click it?"
p.s. If you click, no need to do so repeatedly as in 45 times!! We wouldn't want to raise suspicion. If you could leave the website open a minute as well, that would be great. HBO's website shouldn't be that difficult to spend 30 seconds browsing.
Help us raise the cash by November 1st!
Ads are locate on home page near bottom and say, "ads by google" they will blend into the website and wont draw a ton of attention.
Thanks!
Cori

Hollywood Idiocy Part 2
Speaking of celebrity crap did anyone read Lindsay Lohan's Myspace blog? Hmm here's a little of what she had to say,
"I am concerned with the fact that Sarah Palin brought the attention to her daughter's pregnancy, rather than all world issues and what she believes she could possibly do to change them-if elected. I get Sarah Palin's views against abortion, but i would much prefer to hear more about what she can do for our country rather than how her daughter is going to have a child no matter what.
Maybe focus on delivering some words and policy with stronger impact like Joe Biden.
On another note-the last note- i heard a woman say on TODAY on NBC that teens are feeling as if they have to grow up faster. Really? Because, i think that girls that are CHOOSING to be sexually active and are making a conscious decision to grow up faster..... I think that parents need to recognize how important it is to talk to their children about the things that can result from being sexually active if they aren't protecting themselves (birth control, condoms, etc.)"
I am concerned with the fact that Lindsay Lohan brought attention to not knowing what she is talking about and is sharing it through Myspace front page news. 1st It was the media that made the teen pregnancy thing a "thing" which was in part to keep Americans from knowing her views and focusing on whatever negative they could, She proves this by posting a quote from O'bama about where he says media is being distasteful regarding the issue. If Sarah brought it up why wouldn't Barak blame her? 2nd Joe Biden doesn't make an impact he just continually changes his mind. Which makes him the perfect running mate for O'bama. Hopefully he'll understand when O'bama asks him to step down so he can get Hillary Clinton as his running mate. Ta Da!
"Joe Biden votes with the FBI and media companies against consumers and citizens. He sponsored legislation designed to make it illegal to circumvent copy-protection -- even on content and devices you legally own. He also sought to weaken encryption, and introduce a bill like the controversial PATRIOT Act long before 9/11. But in other areas he's defended privacy and cyber-rights." –InformationWeek.com
All I can say is, "Thank God Lindsay is here to advise us, we'd be in a world of hurt if she didn't know what she was talking about!!" Not too mention it's hardly ironic for her to speak of birth control and condoms in the following paragraphs when she is dating a girl and has no risk of getting pregnant. Oh was that too harsh to say out loud?" Myspace feels this is celebrities helping? She can't even capitalize all her pronouns!! (i.e. "I") Maybe she is a little more concerned with her career and not what's really going on. Or maybe it's because she is just watching NBC and all of those other leftist media channels.

Hollywood Idiocy Part 1
UsWeekly Magazine. As a reader and fan of this particular magazine come vacation time, I have decided to take a strong stand and boycott it from this point on. I won't even grace them with my eye reading their words from this day forward.
I divorce them! I can't be married to a bunch of Pot Smokin' Hippies (Wenner Media) who also run Rolling Stone Magazine (of which I was never a fan to begin with).
People who stand in line at the grocery stores who are bored and dont keep up with elections read these magazines and I can say this because I used to be one of them. They will believe what they see otherwise Enquirer would be out of business. So what did the covers say exactly?

When Wenner Media was asked about their cover and the allegations that it had gone too far they had this to say, "Senior Editor Bradley Jacobs claimed that the "Lies" on the cover referred to unspecified "liberal bloggers" who had speculated on the parentage of Governor Palin's child, not to the governor herself. However, nothing on the cover indicated "liberal bloggers" were the alleged liars."
Clearly this is going too far and I guess they felt people wouldn't realize the difference with the covers out so far apart since O'Bama's came out in June. So I guess "In Touch" just got my business for the rest of my life. Not too mention they are cheaper and cover some of the same celebrity crap.
